Grant Categories
Future Elites The Future Elites Athlete Grant provides funding for emerging (individual) athletes from Prince Edward Island* to assist with the costs associated with training and competing in their chosen sport. The funding level of each recipient is based on athletic achievement and recognition at the national and international level. Please note, you may see a reference to "scholarships" in this application portal. Please disregard, as it is a system default. Apply here. Coaching Development Projects This funding is for projects that will assist in the growth and development of your coaches. The objective is to enhance activities that provide learning opportunities to improve service delivery and strengthen coach development while at the same time building sustainability and organizational effectiveness. Athlete Health and Performance Projects Funds are available for projects for the enhancement of team/athlete performance. The target athletes are those identified as high performance/emerging athletes (e.g. NSO targeted, Canada Games, etc.). This funding is NOT intended for individual athletes. Apply here. Officials Development Projects Funding is available for projects that will enhance or improve the number and quality of a group of officials in the province. Development Grants for Individual Officials Funding is available to individual officials for certification or training initiatives. Officials supported based on the quality of their initiative to develop the skills and provide opportunities for Island Officials. PSO (Provincial Sport Organization) must submit/support application. Areas of Eligibility: Certification courses, National Sport Organization (NSO) or Provincial Sport Organization sponsored or approved seminars or conferences; Selection to officiate at National Sport Organization or International Federation sanctioned event.
